THAI CELADON IN THE MAKING
Thai Celadon production process is based on techniques that go back to the ancient time. In the making of Thai Celadon, no synthetic dyes or clays are used. All the elements needed for this precious stoneware are from the mother nature.and each piece is meticulously finished by hand.
1) Master potter is throwing bowls, vases,
urns & garden drums on the wheel.

3) Skilled liquid-slip artist is
affixing
leaves to holly candle.

5) Master engraver is incising traditional rose
pattern into greenware meat platter.

7) Master glazer is dipping bisqueware
into glaze vat.

2) Lotus and dragon patterns being applied to
garden drums by skilled figure specialists.

4) Women artists are fashioning a vase and
affixing
handle & spout to coffee pot.

6) Greenware undergoes first firing at low
temperature in these bisque kilns.

8) Glazed ware is fired again at high
temperature
in
modern kilns to
obtain fine Celadon
